But for those behind the brands, there\u2019s always something more to consider in order to influence the buyer\u2019s decision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this relationship between brands and consumers, there is another, not always harmonious, relationship between Private Label Brands (PLBs) and Manufacturer Brands (MBs). The customer benefits from this dynamic, as they are able to choose what they prefer based on their own criteria \u2014 which may range from price and quality to trust or sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the moment, the tilt of the scale toward one side \u2014 in this case, toward Private Label Brands (PLBs) \u2014 can give us some insight into how consumers think. But, as in all market research, we cannot settle for\u00a0<em>feelings,<\/em>\u00a0we chose this topic for our latest study, which we published in partnership with <a
